Casey's Novelty & Photography 2008
June 2008:
June seemed like a good month to go sailing where the wind would take us, so we headed to
Tingley Beach with the r/c sailboat to try it out. Casey was enjoying just watching the boat so
much, he almost forgot to take pictures.
But then he remembered his camera and got busy taking pictures.
For Casey's next novelty, we went to a band concert at Burton Park. It was a very
pleasant June evening and Casey got to walk around and check out a new park. He also
snapped these pictures while we were there:
Then off for a very special novelty as Casey went to the Aquarium and Butterfly Pavilion with
Sydney and Jalene. They all had fun with Casey's camera and he took some really good pictures!
Casey found this old ship's figurehead
interesting
He also enjoyed this unusual gold fish
and his pagoda
He got a good shot of some jellies
As well as some koi
He got a nice fish eyed shot
And a good self portrait!!
Then it was time for some fish tails, in
this case a shark
And some other fish who wouldn't
identify himself
Then a nice artsy shot of a lobster
Time for a quick conference before they
head to the butterfly pavilion
So where are the butterflies?
Wow, there's Dad!!
Also in June, Casey photographed some "Summer Nights Concerts" at the botanical gardens:
As well as cook outs in Grandmother's back yard:
July 2008:
On a pleasant July evening, we weren't quite
ready to go home and start chores, so we
took a walking tour of the UNM campus and
ended up at the "duck pond". However, there
weren't many ducks at the time, so Casey
took pictures of the lake.
We enjoyed the duck pond so much, we decided to go have a look at the "new" Isleta Lakes
recreation area. Boy had it changed since last time we were there. It was VERY nice.
First Mom and Dad got to take some pictures, then it was Casey's turn.
Then, on a warm July evening, Casey went down to Old Town to hear some
Mariachi bands and Marimba music. It was great!!
Casey says "Let me have the camera
to take some pictures!!!
